Welcome to Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum

Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum was established in 1859 by Major John H. Kinzie and William B. Ogden. Since then, it has served as Chicago's oldest and largest non-sectarian cemetery. Today, we are proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial national network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers and we are committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a standard of service that is 100 percent guaranteed. We offer families a full spectrum of Dignity Memorial plans to benefit individuals and help create memorable and unique services to honor your loved one. To better serve families, we have a close affiliation with The Drake & Son Funeral Home, also located in Chicago.

Situated on 350 acres designed by William Saunders, replete with over 24 miles of winding roads and a variety of planting and grave decorations, Rosehill provides a quiet place to honor the memory of your loved ones. On a historic note, our grounds contain hundreds of Union Civil War soldiers, and also some of Chicago's most famous politicians and mercantile pioneers. Adding to the appeal, Rosehill's castellated entrance was designed by William Boyington who also designed the Chicago Water Tower, one of the few structures to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. If you would like to tour our facility, please contact one of our family service counselors.

Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum is proudly owned and operated by SCI Illinois Services, Inc.
